Oh yum. A friend has been talking up this place for months and I'm glad we finally went! It was early on a Friday evening when we showed up and pretty quiet, which was good because it's a small space and we were able to get seated right away. By the time we left there were no empty tables.
Our server was Max, and he was great! Made sure we had everything we needed but also gave us space while we caught up.
This isn't your normal pizza place: You're not necessarily going to order a cheese or pepperoni. (Sure, you CAN, but then you'd miss out on the speciality pizzas.) Maybe instead you'll get the potato au gratin or one of two deep dish options (which is what we did - the Detroit was excellent!) There are also salads, sandwiches, burgers, and baked pastas (I want to try the mac and cheese).
Apps include the expected antipasto and mozzerella sticks, but also crab dip and fried green tomatoes with shrimp. We ordered the crab dip, which comes in a bread bowl.
They have craft beer and wine on tap, which was a nice surprise. Actually, the whole experience was - this is a great little place and once inside your never guess you were in a shopping center! -

We were really excited a new restaurant opened in Forest hill. This is the 2nd time we came within a two day span. Today the smell walking in the door was offensive; It smelled like a dirty moldy basement and The restaurant was empty. The first night We were excited for a fresh salad. The salad itself for all the freshness they boast was nothing short of bagged arugula and grocery store feta. The salmon was dry. We ordered salads and pizza and our daughter ordered salad and Mac and cheese(Mac and cheese was acceptable, hence the food be star) . The waitress brought our daughters salad out and didn't bring ours until I asked. The dressings for the salad were so thick you couldn't even pour them. The waitress brought four containers of dressing out and they were all thick and gross. When I finally got one that was thinner the taste was actually off putting.
Today we decided to try the Chicago deep dish for the first time(we were told it couldn't be altered) and the Idaho for the 2nd time(1st time good), not as good as the first. Perhaps the Chicago ruined it. The Chicago deep dish was terrible. The sauce on the top was so thick it tasted like hunts tomato paste out of the can and just as thick. The meat was a mystery. The menu said sausage, meatballs and pepperoni. The meatballs were gray and tasted like meatballs from a lunchroom cafeteria. It didn't fall apart and I saw no sausage at all. It appears the cook needs to visit Chicago because it actually takes 45 mins or more to make a Chicago pizza of which this took 15. Cheese is to be extremely thick and when picking it up should make a string of cheese about a foot long. The crust on the Chicago was no good either.
We won't be back. -

What a great place!!
We came here on a whim and I'm glad we did. This is such a charming little spot hidden in a shopping center.
We started with the crab dip which was perfectly cheesy and crabby in a bread bowl.
My husband had the Chicago deep dish which he said was great.
I had the cattleman's burger and homemade, hand cut potato fries. I consider myself somewhat of a potato aficionado and these fries were definitely some of the best I've had.
For dessert we had the beignets and the Smith Island cake. The beignets were made fresh and they came out hot and fresh.
The Smith Island cake which apparently is a Maryland thing, was really rich and delicious.
I would definitely recommend this place for anyone. -

First time here and the place was empty. The waiter was friendly and helpful. I ordered the fried chicken with fries and mashed potatoes. The fried chicken was good but the fries and mashed potatoes were cold. I also had the crab pizza and it was fine.

We stopped in here early on a Saturday evening and were seated right away. The menu here is very eclectic- don't expect to get a regular pizza. We started with the crab dip. The flavor of the dip was great but the only crabmeat was the little bit that was sprinkled on the top. For our main meal, we tried the Spicy Hawaiian Pizza. It was good sized and had a nice flavor.
